A Amazon revelou em uma conferência que está desenvolvendo um novo recurso que permitirá reproduzir vozes de qualquer pessoa nos aparelhos de assistente pessoal Alexa.
A ideia soa interessante, mas ao mesmo tempo confusa, pois o exemplo dado na conferência foi de uma menina pequena que gostava de ouvir contos antes de dormir.

“Embora a IA não possa eliminar a dor da perda, ela pode definitivamente fazer suas memórias durarem” disse Rohit Prasad, cientista-chefe responsável pela IA da Alexa.
O sistema funcionaria a partir de uma amostra com um minuto de áudio gravado que contenha uma boa variedade de notas vocais. O que significa que a ferramenta seria fácil para replicar vozes de maneira geral.
Além das reflexões a respeito do luto e relações mais duradouras com entes queridos, a nova tecnologia acende novas preocupações a respeito das feaknews e deepfakes a partir da clonagem de vozes.
