O Google Maps, o aplicativo de viagens mais baixado do mundo, em breve se tornará mais imersivo e intuitivo graças a uma grande atualização.
A ferramenta online é usada por mais de 1 bilhão de pessoas todos os meses. Já inclui imagens de satélite, fotografia aérea, mapas de ruas, vistas panorâmicas interativas de 360° das ruas, condições de tráfego em tempo real e planejamento de rotas.
Em sua conferência anual de desenvolvedores realizada na Califórnia, o Google anunciou que novos recursos foram adicionados para aprimorar ainda mais sua aparência e funcionalidade.
Uma nova “visão imersiva” vai gerar gráficos muito mais detalhados do que os disponíveis atualmente. Isso fornecerá vistas abrangentes das cidades em 3D completo, com carros simulados, clima em tempo real, ciclos dia/noite realistas, efeitos de sombra, reflexos na água e até animações como pássaros voando pelo céu.
Além disso, os usuários terão uma experiência mais imersiva também dos ambiente internos – como a vibração de um restaurante, bar, teatro ou outro local público. De acordo com o Google, a sensação vai fazer que você se sinta lá antes mesmo de entrar”.
Essas melhorias são possíveis graças aos avanços da IA que permitem que bilhões de fotografias aéreas, de rua e outras imagens se combinem e criem um modelo digital rico e contínuo do mundo. E o melhor de tudo é que não vai ser necessário celulares ou computadores com grande desempenho para se obter essas funcionalidades.
